A city north of Seattle and Shoreline, incorporated in the late 60s. Interstate 5 and State Highway 99 are the major north-south corridors that run through Lynnwood. It has been primarily a bedroom community for the Seattle area commuters with a variety of shopping centers, including Alderwood mall. Prior to its incorporation, the area was referred to as Alderwood Manor. Lynnwood is an active real estate market with values continuing to climb as the Seattle area market continues to grow.
